Work Experience
Visual Design Lead
UCI Continuing education, since Jan. 2020
Irvine, CA
As my role evolved at DCE, I began to specialize more on the pre-production part of the animation workflow. As the Visual Design Lead, my role focuses primarily on visual scripting and storyboarding rather than actually executing animation. For a while, I was still creating all animation assets on my own, but now I provide provide leadership, advocate for, and mentor a team of artists and animators. I’ve also developed a graphics workflow from the ground up with the assistance of cross-functional units on our team.
Freelance Graphics Artist
Free DLC Artwork, since Mar. 2018
Outside of work, I manifest my love of video games, movies, anime, etc. into art that I can share with others. I manage all business operations, including purchase of nearly $10,000 worth of supplies, logistics for 5-6 events per year, management of 500- 750 prints and stickers, and more. I also manage my online presence, including weekly social media posts, 3 online storefronts, misc. content creation, etc.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER / ANIMATOR
UCI Continuing Education, Sept. 2018 - Jan 2020
Irvine, CA
As a part of the instructional design unit, I worked primarily in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to make course media. Our mission as a team was to create media that was more than just the typical talking heads and animated PowerPoints that dominate the medium today. In the span of our first 9 months as a team, we launched 95 courses and over 50 separate course videos.
Media & Student Experience Coordinator
UCI SUMMER SESSION, Mar. 2015 - Sept. 2018

I co-led the Freshman Edge program at UCI, an early-start program for incoming students. I coordinated each program cycle from start to finish, starting with recruitment in Fall to logistics and execution in Spring/Summer. I also worked heavily with our marketing branch to create content for students, including videos, websites, and other general design work.

At UCI my education centered around computer science, but my extracurriculars were more centered on student affairs. My passion lied in working with people, which led me to be a Resident Advisor as well as a Coordinator for our Orientation Programs (SPOP).
