Dreamhack Dallas Promotion

After tabling at Dreamhack San Diego back in April of 2023, I was fortunate enough to get a request from the show runner create an advertising piece for their event in Dallas. Their initial vision was “a sea of BYOC (Bring Your Own Computers), with elements to identify that the event was happening in Dallas.” I figured it’d be cool to have all the computers leading towards a main stage, with a game resembling Smash Bros being played in the big screen. In terms of Dallas identifiers… how about the level on screen resembling the Dallas skyline? Fortunately, they loved that idea!

From here, I thought it’d be easiest to create the duplicated computer screens in 3D space, render that out, then draw on top of it. And the rest went without a hitch!
