Digital Marketing – Course Media

These are a sample of the animations I created for the “Digital Marketing” certificate program at the UCI Division of Continuing Education. The animations below are featured across the entire certificate, which includes 5 separate courses.

Our goal with these graphics was to use simplicity to our advantage. As with most media teams, our time to work on these courses was quite limited. We wanted to ensure we were communicating messages clearly, create eye-catching animations, and meet our deadlines at the same time. We settled on a sort of flat design, which allowed me to quickly create assets in Illustrator to be animated in After Effects. We also made use of some pre-rendered cartoon FX, which REALLY aided in the style.

Most of the assets below were created and animated entirely by me. My co-worker, Matthew McCabe (an incredible animator) animated the 3D, polygon-like models featured in some of them, like the wizard and the cart.
